How do I sign up for tutoring?

You can register using the contact us form on our website. Once we receive your information, a member of our team will reach out to discuss your needs and set up your first session.

What if I need to cancel a session?

Life happens! You can cancel or reschedule any session up to 12 hours in advance through your user dashboard without any penalty.

Do you offer group discounts?

No, we are currently focused on providing personalized one-on-one tutoring to ensure the best learning experience for each student.

Is the tutoring online or in-person?

Currently, all sessions are conducted online via Teams to ensure flexibility and safety for everyone.

Can I choose my child's tutor?

Yes. If the matched tutor isn't the right fit, we'll help you select another tutor better suited to your child's learning needs.

What is the duration of each tutoring session?

Each one-on-one tutoring session lasts 55 minutes,

How do I track my child's progress?

You'll receive monthly progress reports and optional parent-teacher meetings to discuss academic improvements and goals

Is the trial session really free, and what happens in it?

Yes — your first introductory session is completely free with no commitment. We use it to understand the student's current level, discuss goals, and make sure the tutor's teaching style is the right fit before you sign up.

What do I need to get started with online sessions?

A PC or laptop with a stable internet connection, a working camera and microphone, and the Microsoft Teams desktop app. We recommend Teams on a computer rather than a phone, as screen sharing and the interactive whiteboard work best there. Each student also receives a dedicated @thecompleteequation.com email for logging in.

Which curricula and exams do you support?

We tutor across IB, AP, SAT, ACT, GCSE, A-Level, CBSE, and general school math — from primary level through college, as well as working professionals. If you are unsure whether we cover your syllabus, just reach out and ask.

Does the student need to keep their camera on during sessions?

Yes. We ask students to keep their camera on for the full session. It helps the tutor read understanding through non-verbal cues and keeps the lesson as close to an in-person experience as possible.

Are sessions recorded, and can we rewatch them?

Yes — sessions are recorded for quality assurance and so students can use them for revision. Recordings are used only for educational purposes, are never shared with third parties without permission, and stay available for the duration of your subscription.

Will we get notes or homework after each lesson?

Every lesson leaves a clear trail — what was covered, what to practise, and what we will check next time. Notes and assignments are shared through Microsoft Teams so nothing gets lost between sessions.

Are your tutors qualified teachers?

Our tutors are experienced teachers, not just subject experts. Before working with families, every tutor is reviewed for subject depth, teaching clarity, communication, and consistency.

How do I make a payment?

We use Razorpay as our payment aggregator. Our admin sends you a secure payment link, which can be paid using any international debit or credit card. All payments are GST compliant and we issue a valid tax invoice for every transaction.

When are fees due, and how are payments managed?

Fees for the month's classes are requested in the first week of each month. Billing is handled personally by our admin, who will send you a reminder on your preferred channel of communication. As a small business, we keep payments flexible and built on trust — we handle billing delicately and always in favour of the family.

Can parents sit in on sessions?

Absolutely — parents are welcome to join the first few sessions to see how the tutor works. After that, we ask that the live lesson stay focused on the student, with any feedback shared after class.
